Two INCAR Researchers will participate in the Future Congress 2021

This year, two researchers from the Integrative Program of the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research, INCAR, will participate as panelists at the Future 2021 Congress.
They are the Principal Investigator, Dr. Doris Soto, and the Associate Investigator, Dr. Jorge León-Muñoz, who this Wednesday, January 20, will be part of two interesting panels.
Dr. Jorge León-Muñoz will be part of the Congrego Futuro Biobío, in the Panel “Communication of science around climate change” that will take place on Wednesday, January 20, starting at 11:30 am.
The activity will be carried out in a 100% online format and is the third version organized by the University of Concepción (UdeC), the Catholic University of Santísima Concepción (UCSC), the University of Biobío (UBB) and the Regional Government of Biobío, as one of the local initiatives of the Future Congress.
On this occasion, Dr. Jorge León will be accompanied by the Director of the Green Growth Center of the Norwegian Business School, Dr. Per Espen; the Doctor in Environmental Sciences and Director of the Eula-Chile Environmental Sciences Center of the UdeC, Dr. Ricardo Barra, and the Academic of the Faculty of Sciences of the Ubb, Chillán headquarters, Dra. Marcela Vidal.

Meanwhile, Dr. Doris Soto will be in the panel “Chile in the eyes of the world” that will take place on Wednesday, January 20, starting at 3:20 pm, which will address topics such as Sustainability, Forestry Potential, Resources water / y Sustainable production.
“The session will seek to reflect on the potential and challenges of living in a country with a promising source of energy material and natural resources with added value. Research and productivity will be key to pushing Chile into a new power, from a sustainable perspective ”, they explain from the organization.
Dr. Soto will be accompanied on the panel by the Resident Researcher of the Center for Research in Ecosystems of Patagonia (CIEP), Dr. Brian Reid; the Professor in forestry, forest ecology and community development of the Austral University of Chile, Dr. Pablo Donoso, and the Director of the Astronomy Center of the University of Antofagasta, Dr. Eduardo Unda-Sanzana.
