Director of INCAR and Principal Investigator of the center are part of the Editorial Committee of the scientific journal “Reviews in Aquaculture”

Dr. Renato Quiñones, Director of the INCAR Center and Academic at the Department of Oceanography at Universidad de Concepción, and Dr. Doris Soto, Principal Investigator at INCAR, have been nominated as members of the Editorial Board of the prestigious scientific journal “Reviews in Aquaculture”.

Published by “John Wiley & Sons”, this journal is the top-ranked publication in the field of fisheries and aquaculture worldwide in terms of impact index (Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate, 2022): 1/54 Fisheries).

“This nomination holds special significance as it reflects the high visibility that INCAR’s research has gained worldwide. “Reviews in Aquaculture” specializes in providing syntheses of advances in knowledge in various areas of sustainable aquaculture development, so I see it as a general recognition of the center’s presence in international scientific journals,” highlighted Dr. Quiñones. “The nomination is an incentive to continue our research efforts towards global sustainable aquaculture, and it is also motivating because of the opportunity to work with a diverse and multidisciplinary group of aquaculture researchers,” stated Dr. Soto.
