Dr. Ruben Avendaño-Herrera, Academic at Universidad Andrés Bello and INCAR Principal Investigator is participating in the XXI International Conference on Diseases of Fish and Shellfish, organized by the European Association of Fish Pathologists. This conference is taking place in Scotland, where Dr. Avendaño is presenting two poster presentations. The first poster, titled “Characterization of extracellular products for Tenacibaculum dicentrarchi: composition and biological activity” where authors aimed to unravel the extracellular products that play a role in T. dicentrarchi,and “Exploration of knowledge available for tenacibaculosis and causative agents in Chilean salmon farming” that examined the consequences of tenacibaculosis on the well-being of Chile’s salmon aquaculture, offering valuable insights and disseminating information to support the development of control and prevention strategies. Furthermore, their work plays a crucial role in shaping public policies.
