INCAR Director, Dr. Renato Quiñones, will present on the “Environmental Variability and Climate Change” panel at the InnAqua Conference

Dr. Renato Quiñones, the Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR), will be delivering a presentation at the InnAqua Conference, the most significant innovation event in aquaculture in the southern hemisphere. The conference will be held in Puerto Varas from September 26th to 28th.

This is the second edition of the conference organized by the Aquaculture Innovation Club of Chile, and the first in-person event. Dr. Quiñones will be participating in Panel 03, titled “Environmental Variability and Climate Change,” scheduled for Wednesday, September 27th. During his presentation, the Director of INCAR will discuss the “Ecological Carrying Capacity of Patagonian Channels and Fjords for Salmon Farming in Chile: Approaches, Advances, and Challenges.”

InnAqua 2023 has recently gained recognition as an activity aligned with the objectives, program, and scope of “The Decade of the Oceans,” an initiative led by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Furthermore, the conference aims to establish the International Alliance for Innovation in Aquaculture, a development that has contributed to its prestigious nomination.
