Salmonexpert Seminars: “Climate change: salmon farming with a sustainable approach”

In its constant mission to inform and contribute to the knowledge of the industry, Salmonexpert, in strategic collaboration with different experts in the field, led by Dr. Doris Soto from the Incar Center, will hold a free seminar within the new line of events “Salmonexpert Seminars.

Under the title “Climate change: salmon farming with a sustainable approach”, the event will be a unique opportunity to learn about the latest scientific and salmon farming advances in this matter, in addition to discussing topics in innovation.

The event will also have a stand space where it will be possible to share experiences and network among the different actors and experts in the field.

Additionally, the new compendium Learning Aquaculture volume VIII will be launched, a delivery focused on sustainability and climate change, and whose chapters are focused mainly on direct changes in water quality parameters, their association with infectious and non-infectious pathologies, socio-ecological vulnerability of the activity in the face of a new climate scenario, risk maps and their role in prevention and early warnings, possible institutional and legislative changes to face a new reality, among other relevant topics.

Salmonexpert Seminars will take place at the Hotel Cumbres in Puerto Varas, on Wednesday, December 13 between 8:30 and 2:00 p.m., and will be divided into two modules: climate change and sustainability.
