{"id":5716,"date":"2020-06-04T18:32:52","date_gmt":"2020-06-04T22:32:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/centroincar.cl\/?page_id=5716"},"modified":"2025-11-18T15:16:52","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T19:16:52","slug":"mision-vision","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/centroincar.cl\/en\/quienes-somos\/mision-vision\/","title":{"rendered":"Mission, Vision and Goals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our mission is to generate relevant scientific knowledge as a tool to transform aquaculture into a sustainable and productive activity in ecological, economic, and social aspects, to contribute to the sustainable development of Chile.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The vision of INCAR is to become a globally recognized center of excellence, making significant contributions to research for the development of sustainable aquaculture in the Southeast Pacific.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Center has set four general research goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Goal I: To generate scientific knowledge aimed at reducing the use of antibiotics, pesticides, and other pharmaceutical products in aquaculture.<\/li>\n<li>Goal II: To generate scientific knowledge aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of aquaculture while improving integration with other uses of the marine environment.<\/li>\n<li>Goal III: To generate scientific knowledge aimed at improving the socioeconomic sustainability of aquaculture.<\/li>\n<li>Goal IV: To influence public policies and promote good governance practices based on key research findings, in order to facilitate the implementation of EAA (Ecosystem Approach to Aquaculture).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mission Our mission is to generate relevant scientific knowledge as a tool to transform aquaculture into a sustainable and productive activity in ecological, economic, and social aspects, to contribute to the sustainable development of Chile.
