Dr. Doris Soto, who leads the Integrative Program, will share her insights on &#8220;Freshwater aquaculture risks for Brazilian Amazon biodiversity: Challenges and opportunities&#8221; on September 25<sup>th<\/sup> in the &#8220;Sustainable Aquaculture and Ecosystem Conservation I&#8221; session. Dr. Jaime Figueroa, focusing on Marine Environment Animal Health, will present &#8220;Complete genome analysis of <em>Piscirickettsia salmonis<\/em>: Evaluation of virulence, antibiotic resistance, and gene organization&#8221; on September 26<sup>th<\/sup> during the &#8220;Microbiology I and Vaccination&#8221; session.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, Dr. Ruben Avenda\u00f1o-Herrera, Principal Investigator in the Early Stages of Salmonids and Native Resources line, will open the &#8220;Microbiology II&#8221; session on September 27<sup>th<\/sup>, with his presentation titled &#8220;Efficacy of an iron-limiting vaccine for <em>Tenacibaculum dicentrarchi<\/em> in Atlantic salmon, <em>Salmo salar<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three Principal Investigators FROM INCAR Center will participate at the Latin American and Caribbean Aquaculture 2024 (LACQUA 24) event in Medell\u00edn, Colombia.
