\nEn el congreso, cada participante tuvo la posibilidad no s\u00f3lo de presentar un trabajo; sino tambi\u00e9n de asumir el rol de \u201cDiscussant\u201d o \u201cLitigante\u201d, para motivar la discusi\u00f3n y reflexi\u00f3n en torno a cada estudio.
\nEl Investigador Asociado de la RP5, Dr. Carlos Ch\u00e1vez, particip\u00f3 de la sesi\u00f3n \u201cImpacts of Cooking Transitions, en la que present\u00f3 su estudio \u201cEvaluating Environmental Policies: The Impacts of Stove Programs in Urban Households of Central-Southern Chile (RP)\u201d y posteriormente asumi\u00f3 el rol de Litigante de la presentaci\u00f3n \u201cThe Impact of Improved Cookstoves Beyond Fuelwood Saving: A Randomized Controlled Trial in Rural Ethiopia\u201d, desarrollada por Yonas Alem de la Universidad of Gotemburgo, Suecia.
\nEn tanto, el Investigador Principal de la l\u00ednea \u201cSustentabilidad Socioeco\u00f3mica\u201d, Dr. Jorge Dresdner, particip\u00f3 en la sesi\u00f3n Fisheries and Marine Resources, donde present\u00f3 \u201cSustainability through diversification: marine resources-based activities as livelihood alternatives for coastal communities in southern Chile\u201d, para posteriormente actuar como \u201cDiscussant\u201d de la presentaci\u00f3n \u201cLocation choice in a natural resource-based industry: The case of the Chilean aquaculture\u201d, de Manuel Estay de la Universidad de Massachusetts Amherst.
\nFinalmente, el Investigador Adjunto del INCAR, Dr. C\u00e9sar Salazar, present\u00f3 su estudio \u201cTransition patterns of fishermen and farmers into seaweed smallscale aquaculture. The role of risk and time preferences\u201d, y actu\u00f3 como \u201cDiscussant\u201d de la presentaci\u00f3n \u201cPerception of Regulation by Artisanal Fisherfolk in Open Access Fisheries: Evidence from Nigeria Marine Fisheries Sector\u201d, de Ebele Chinelo Amaechina, de la Universidad de Nigeria.
\nEfD es un programa de generaci\u00f3n de capacidades de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica, formaci\u00f3n y apoyo al dise\u00f1o de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas en el \u00e1mbito ambiental y de manejo de recursos naturales con la finalidad de impulsar el desarrollo.
\nLa red es integrada por instituciones l\u00edderes en este \u00e1mbito, localizadas en Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Estados Unidos (Resources for the Future), Etiopia, India, Kenia, Sud\u00e1frica, Suecia, Tanzania y Vietnam (ver www.efdinitiative.org para m\u00e1s antecedentes).<\/p>\n
