The group led by Dr. Juan Guillermo Cárcamo, from RP3, participated presenting three works in the 39th Anual Meeting of the Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Chile, which took place in the city of Puerto Varas, from September 27th to 30th.
The works presented were:
1- Transcriptional characterization of proteins related to detoxification systems and drug resistance mechanisms in Caligus rogercresseyi.
2- Transcriptional and protein expression in subcutaneous fat from Chilota and Sufolk Down lambs grazing Calafatal.
3- Atlantic salmon and Coho salmon respond differentially to infestation by _Caligus rogercresseyi.
The works presented take part of the development of the Fondecyt 1150934 and 3160059 projects, and Innova Corfo 14IDL2-30112, two of them led by Dr. Cárcamo, corresponding to concurrent projects of INCAR. The congress was held at the Hotel
Patagónico’s halls and had the participation of national and international researchers from Europe, United States, and Latin America.
