Dr. Ruben Avendaño-Herrera will present his recent findings that shed light on the virulence of isolates from different antigenic and genetic groups of this freshwater pathogen. Dr. Avendaño-Herrera, who is the principal investigator from the “Animal Health in Freshwater Life Stages of Salmonids” research line at INCAR and academic at Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB), led this initiative.
The session will be held on October 4th, bringing together four specialists from Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. “We are very pleased with the interest that this free event has generated in the Spanish-speaking world. Just one day before the event started, we had received 230 registered participants from 18 countries, including Chile, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Honduras, among others. The seminar will include students, farmers, academics, regulatory authorities, among others, creating a diverse discussion with different points of view,” the researcher stated.
