The upcoming second edition of the National Conference “Impacts and prevention and control strategies of caligidosis in Chilean salmon farming” is set to take place on October 22nd and 23rd at the Cumbres Hotel in Puerto Varas. Over 150 participants are expected from the academic, productive, and sales sectors. In this context, the organization has communicated that the Scientific Committee of the initiative has been constituted. Their duties will involve assessing the researchers’ abstracts, recommending speakers for the keynote speeches, facilitating thematic sessions, and overseeing technical workshops, among other responsibilities.
The conference represents a key opportunity to explore advancements in parasite biology research, treatments, and innovative strategies, all of which are instrumental in improving the efficacy of caligidosis management.
The conference, supported by MSD Animal Health and Solvay Peroxides de Los Andes Industrial y Comercial Ltda, is co-organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (Incar), the Aquaculture Institute of the Austral University of Chile, and Intesal, and is backed by Salmonexpert as media partners.
