On Tuesday, June 18th, directives from the Bicentennial Polyvalent Excellence High School of San Nicolás (Ñuble Region) visited Universidad de Concepción Campus. Directives engaged in meetings with university authorities to strengthen the collaboration between Bicentennial Polyvalent Excellence High School and Universidad de Concepción, Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Oceanográficas, and the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR).
The INCAR Center is currently engaged in an FIC-Ñuble initiative focused on sustainable development in the coastal region of Ñuble, home to the Bicentennial Polyvalent Excellence High School. This educational institution has successfully integrated various technological advancements, including the practice of hydroponics for vegetable cultivation. Furthermore, they are in the process of introducing an aquaponics system, which involves the integration of fish to establish an innovative recirculation system. The collaboration between these two entities is expected to yield fruitful results in the implementation of novel ideas.
