The deadline for contributions to the conference entitled “Impacts and Prevention Strategies of Caligus in Salmon Farming,” taking place in Puerto Varas, Chile, has been extended

The deadline for submitting contributions to the 2nd Conference on “Impacts and Prevention Strategies of Caligus in Chilean Salmon Farming” has been postponed to August 16. This congress is scheduled to take place on October 22 and 23, 2024, at the Hotel Cumbres in Puerto Varas. The conference has being jointly organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR), the Aquaculture Institute of the Austral University of Chile (IACUI), and the Salmon Technology Institute (INTESAL), with the support of from MSD Animal Health and Solvey Peroxides of the Andes, and Salmonexpert.

The event will feature keynote addresses, oral presentations, poster sessions, and technical workshops addressing a range of topics, including biology, resistance, genetics, and immune response. This year, presentations will be offered in three formats: Oral presentations of 12 minutes with an additional 3 minutes for questions; 5 minutes presentations; and Poster presentations, where participants will showcase their scientific research through an infographic.
