The online discussion series “La Hora Acuícola,” hosted by the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR), will return for its fourth season on September 3th, 2024, at 5:00 PM. This initiative provides a forum for examining critical topics in national aquaculture. The first episode will delve into “The Interaction Between Fishing and Aquaculture in the Context of Seed Capture and the Restocking of Benthic Species.” The discussion will feature insights from researchers within the Integrative Program, including Dr. Doris Soto, Dr. Carlos Molinet, and Dr. Jessica Fuentes, as well as a panel of recognized guests including Yohana González, General Manager of AmiChile A.G., Miguel Argel, a producer from Cochamó, and representatives from the Undersecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Subpesca) and the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca), who will evaluate a proposal for public policy recommendations developed by INCAR researchers.
