A new INCAR seminar focused on the interactions between parasites and their hosts has been announced.

On October 21st, the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR) will host a seminar titled “Vampires: The Beauty of Host-Parasite Interactions,” which will focus on research related to host-parasite interactions. The event will take place in the Claudio Gay auditorium at Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Ocanográficas at Universidad de Concepción. The seminar will feature three internationally recognized researchers: Dr. Vaidas Palinausckas from the Nature Research Centre in Lithuania, Dr. Alejandro Cabezas-Cruz from UMR BIPAR (INRAE, Anses, EnvA) in France, and Dr. Cristian Gallardo-Escárate from Universidad de Concepción and INCAR in Chile. The seminar will be moderated by Dr. Valentina Valenzuela-Muñoz, academic from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Universidad San Sebastián and an Associate Researcher at INCAR.
