The ten-year anniversary of the “Scientific Days in Llico,” organized by the Filidor Gaete High School of Llico, the Municipal Department of Education of Arauco, and the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR), brought together 350 students and educators. This event gathered 350 students and faculty members who visited the fair and participated in workshops, themed this year as “Science in Statistics: Identifying Patterns and Formulating Solutions for Sustainability.”
The celebrations marking the first decade of collaboration involved 14 institutions, with significant contributions from the Faculty of Natural and Oceanographic Sciences alongside the Museum of the Department of Zoology. Notable participants included the Department of Oceanography at the University of Concepción, the COPAS Coastal Center, the Center for Water Resources for Agriculture and Mining (CRHIAM), the Millennium Institute in Coastal Socioecology (SeCos), the Interactive Center for Science, Arts, and Technologies (CICAT UdeC), the Center for Astronomical Instrumentation (CePIA UdeC), the UdeC Biotechnology Center, Algalab, and the Research Program on Ecosystems of the Gulf of Arauco (PREGA UdeC), as well as the bicentennial high schools Filidor Gaete and San Felipe de Arauco.
