The Principal Investigators at the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR), Dr. Ruben Avendaño-Herrera and Dr. Doris Soto Benavides, were recognized in the categories as Best Scientists in Animal and Veterinary Sciences in Chile, and Best Scientists in Environmental Sciences in Chile in the fourth edition of the Research.com ranking
In the new Research.com assessment of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Dr. Avendaño-Herrera has moved one position up from the previous year ranking, from 1,694 to 1,430, with a total of 185 publications and 4,135 citations, resulting in a D-index of 33, a figure calculated by the site based on the number of publications and citations within the examined discipline.
Meanwhile, Dr. Doris Soto has moved up three positions from the last assessment in the category of Best Scientists in Environmental Sciences, now ranking 10th nationally and 7,174th globally, an increase of 604 positions, with 13,617 citations and 80 publications, which grants her a D-index of 38.
